On Thursday we went on a little trip to the Ironbound. As we walked to the Ironbound from St. Benedict's our job was to take pictures of store fronts so that we could use the pictures to work on our mood board. The goal was to aim to take pictures of 15 different store fronts that we could us to create our mood boards. When we returned to the school the instruction was to pick four photos that we took and create a mood board for each of the four images. A mood board is an arrangement of images, materials, pieces of text, etc. intended to evoke or project a particular style or concept. I began each mood board by identifying the tree main colors in the store fronts. After identifying the colors I began to find 5 to 6 images for each mood board. I then inserted the images into a grid format. A grid is a structure (usually two-dimensional) made up of a series of intersecting straight (vertical, horizontal, and angular) or curved lines (grid lines) used to structure content. After completing the mood boards we had to identify the hex codes for the three main colors in each mood board. We did this by using canva.com to find the hex colors.
