Luke- Magazine Inspiration

Today, I used the elements in Canva to imitate a page in a magazine about food.

Original ad
I first changed the blank background of my poster to that of a wood wall. I then used fonts that match what was on the text of the original page in the magazine. I learned how to use new fonts based on looking up the style (i.e. looking to see what fonts belonged to serif, sans serif, etc.) I then used photos that were provided by Canva to add food to the poster because the original had food showcased. I learned how to remove the backgrounds of the photos so that the subjects of the photos can blend in with everything else.

My work today
I think that I did a good job at imitating the original with what I had available. I don't think I know enough about Canva to make something look completely in place. The original was a photo, so in comparison to that I didn't think that my work looked that good. I am proud of my use of fonts, however since I believe it looks really similar to the original in that regard. I think that in the future I can create something similar to this in a better way.

These are the fonts I used were Purisa, Bodoni FLF, and PT Serif.
