Harrison's Grid Design Mood Board

On Thursday, May 6 my graphic design went on a field trip. We walked to Ironbound and walked through the neighborhood. Our assignment was to take fifteen photos of business designs we either found good or bad. While in the Ironbound neighborhood I found these four businesses they are Empada’s Brazil, Ferry St. BBQ, Topa Hora, and Paivas Furniture. I took a picture of empada’s brazil because they spelled Empanada wrong and I found it funny. For ferry St. BBQ I took it because I like BBQ and I thought the design was good. I didn’t think the Topa Hora design was good, I thought it was really corny. Then Pavias Furniture I thought the colors were basic, and I thought about what I could do to improve it.

Then on Friday Dr. Lansang want to use to make mood boards. Which is where you take a photo and put in different images that fit the mood of the picture. He wanted us to make at least four at the end of class. Then we wanted us to add hex codes, which are hexadecimal formats for identifying colors. I found them on canvas by going to the colors and putting my mouse on the colors and the hex code shows up. I put my design together by using the gird designs to make my mood board cleaner. Then I put in a background design that matches the three colors.
