Diogo - Mood Board Grid Design

My task for this project was to create hypothetical companies and create a mood board for them. The company names I chose were all thought out for the mood board. For the company “Sharp Cheddar,” I had an idea that the “Sharp” could be used for pictures of knives, axes, etc., and the “Cheddar” could provide me with a variety of colors to choose from since cheeses have many colors. For the company “Chew,” I chose that word because it was unique. Like Gucci, Balenciaga, etc., they’re all unique names. I felt like “Chew” could go with those names, and it was also simple to say and look at. I also considered the font when choosing the name. I wanted something to look nice with a specific font, and the word “Chew” made it look good.

For “Sharp Cheddar,” I created a grid-type design with different pictures that had similar colors to the idea behind the name. For the “Chew” company, I used a frame that comes with the website Canva for each photo. I added models as the photos since I wanted “Chew” to be a clothing company. I made the images black and white and added a transparent black layer over the whole page to make the company’s name stand out, so it wouldn’t blend in with the images. Lastly, I added black and grey gradient lines to the background, so the board looked more attractive to the eye. I then got the hex codes for the different colors I used and added them to the mood board. Hex codes are codes that come with each color, so if other people wanted to know what exact color was used with the image, they would just look at the hex code.
